Web space is storage space that is used for publishing a web page (or home page) on the Internet. Domain names, such as www.flatbooster.de, are addresses, which enable access to this web space. For each domain, you may also create email addresses support@flatbooster.de. With us, you can purchase web space, stored on high-performance servers, free of advertisements, along with your domain.
Our "Money-back Guarantee" applies for all new customers, so that they may easily test our services. Please note, however, that we cannot return domain names to the Registrar once they have already been registered. For this reason, the registration fee cannot be refunded. You may however transfer the registered domain to another provider.
Our web hosting packages include all traffic as a flat rate, which inasmuch means unlimited traffic (data transfer) for the uploading and downloading of data. Please note, however, that we do not provide web hosting for video / music or streaming portals.
No, support is free of charge. We can be contacted by email, fax and telephone.
With our web hosting packages, the operation of several different Internet sites from one account is possible. Therefore, you can register several domains and define a home page for each domain. However, operating as a reseller, whether for profit or not, is not permitted.
With us, you can take advantage of the fact that we administer large contingents and operate our own infrastructure in multiple computer centers. It is our goal to provide competitive prices over the long term without any compromises with regard to quality. We have developed an innovate web hosting system, which optimally passes services and resources along to our customers.
In general, how do I transfer a domain?
1) Terminate the domain with your old provider (as well as the associated web space fees, if necessary) and allow the domain to released for transfer. You may use the Change of Provider, which we have prepared for this purpose.
2) As soon as your registration has been approved, the domain transfer will be started. You can review the status of the transfer from the Client Panel.
3) If your old provider agrees with the transfer (ACK, acknowledge), the domain is transferred to our care. Twenty-four hours later, at the latest, the domain can be reached from our services.
Can my page be called up during the transfer?
Yes. During the transfer, all requests and emails go to the old provider's servers. As soon as the transfer has been completed, requests will be answered by our servers.
1.6.1 DE Domains:
• If your previous provider rejects the transfer (NACK, not acknowledged), please contact them again to learn the reason for the rejection. If the reason for the rejection has been clarified, please try to get a so-called LateACK (late acknowledgement) in writing from your old provider. If your old provider cannot issue such an acknowledgement, you can restart the transfer from the Client Panel.
• If a settlement cannot be reached with your previous provider, or contact is not possible, please contact DENIC (the Registrar for DE domains):
http://www.denic.de/de/special/contact.html
1.6.2 EU Domains:
• You need to ensure that the Owner-C email address recorded for this domain is current and that you have access to it. You can review which email address has been recorded for your domain here: http://www.whois.eu. As soon as we have started the transfer, you will receive two emails from EURid requesting your consent for the transfer. You need to confirm both emails.
• If there are problems, please contact EURid directly at:
http://www.eurid.eu/de/contact-us
1.6.3 COM, NET, ORG, BIZ / INFO Domains:
• COM and NET domains may only be transferred to another provider 60 days after their initial registration. Additionally, each transfer re-locks the domain against further transference for 60 days.
• You need to ensure that the domain is set to the "Active" status. If the domain has been set to "Registrar-Lock" status, however, you will need to have this corrected by your old provider.
• Additionally, you need to ensure that the Owner-C & Admin-C email addresses recorded for this domain are current and that you have access to them. Your previous provider can tell you which email addresses have been recorded for your domain.
• So-called "AUTH-Codes" are required for the transfer. These codes ensure that you are the owner of the domain. Request these Auth-Codes from your old provider and enter them in the Client Panel ("Account Manager" | "Domain Status").
1.6.4 AT Domains:
• You need to ensure that the Owner-C email address recorded for this domain is current and that you have access to it. You can review which email address has been recorded for your domain here: http://www.nic.at. As soon as we have started the transfer, you will receive one email from NIC.AT requesting your consent for the transfer.
What is the authentication code (AUTH-Code)?
For transferring a so-called ".cnobi" domain (.com, .net, .org, .info or .biz) or a .de domain, an authentication code (AUTH-Code) is required. This AUTH-Code is a 6 to 16 character-long code, which is issued for each domain registration and shared with only you, the owner of the domain, by your previous provider. It is used to protect your domain from misuse, among other things. Without this AUTH-Code, the domain transfer will be rejected by the Registry. For this reason, please contact your previous provider to receive your AUTH-Code. You may enter this code from the Client Panel pages after registration from the menu item "Account Manager" | "Domain Status".

Registration of a domain name is always for one year. The payment methods for domains and web hosting packages are also one year, in advance, for this reason. You may terminate your account or the individual domains with a notification period of one month prior to the end of the contract term, with the exception of .at domains, which have a notification period of 2 months. Otherwise, the contract automatically continues to run and does not need to be explicitly extended. You will be informed by email prior to the expiration of the contract term, of course.
You can pay via bank transfer, Moneybookers, PayPal or Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Maestro). We are Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode.
We will send your full login details instantly after your order, so meanwhile we do not offer test accounts. Furthermore we provide our "Money-back Guarantee" and if there are any problems with your account we will help directly.
General
Welcome!
Have you received an email with the access information and want to get started? Great, let's start with the Accountix Client Panel at https://flatbooster.com/client. There, you will find the central administration menu for your hosting functions, such as Email Administration, FTP User Management, Databases, etc., as well as account features like invoice review, domain status, contact details, and so forth. These features are described in more detail in this guide, which is why we don't explain them at this point. If, for example, you want to create an email account, then simply read: (4.0 How do I setup an account from the Client Panel?)
However, the FTP access information has already been stored in the email you received. Correspondingly, you have full FTP access. Please read (5.0 What is FTP & how do I use it?). Accessing your domain probably does not work yet, because the registration or the domain transfer is still being processed. However, that really isn't a problem, because we have already prepared a sub-domain ("username.servername.com") free of charge, with which you can retrieve your FTP data. The sub-domain is found in the email you received with your domain name. By the way, you can find out the current status of your domain from the Client Panel under "Account Manager" | "Domain Status".
For new customers, we also recommend this article: 2.2 Which user information should I use for logging in?

• Client Panel: If you are no longer able to login to the Client Panel, please request a new password from the "Password forgotten" feature. The user name is formatted as: web123456. Please note that a new password can only be issued for logging in as a customer. FTP, Email and Database password are not changed by this feature.
• FTP & WebMail or phpMyAdmin: These passwords cannot be reset by using the "forgotten Password" feature. You will have to log into the Client Panel and correspondingly reset these passwords from there.
You can set the FTP password from "Account Manager" | "Change Passwort".
You can set the mail password from "Hosting Manager" | "Email" | "Email Mailboxes" | "Edit"
You can set the database password (for phpMyAdmin) from "Hosting Manager" | "Databases" | "Change MySQL Password".
• User name forgotten or email address no longer current:
In this case, please contact our support department by email (we are not allowed to make any changes over the phone). In this email, please provide your domain name and customer number. The customer number is found on the invoice, in the access information email or on your last bank statement or payment receipt.

We provide you with the option to change to a more powerful package in the Client Panel under "Upgrade Store" | "Upgrade Hosting". In this, the upgrade fees are fairly calculated based on the services already used. Processing fees will not be charged. The formula for the calculation is: (Credit in months * Monthly upgrade price) - (Credit in months * Current monthly price).
A package can be downgraded at any time by writing an email to our support department. The web hosting fee will then be immediately converted to the lower fee, so that the less powerful package will be invoiced starting at the beginning of the next contract term. An adjustment to the web hosting fee by specifying any desired point in time (such as the end of the contract term) and a credit for services already paid is, unfortunately, not possible.

Domains
Yes, of course. With us, you will be registered as the Admin-C domain owner. You also retain all rights to the domain.
You can administer your domains and sub-domains from "Hosting Manager" | "Domains". Sub-domains are free-of-charge domain names, which are associated with your domain. For example: http://example.domain.de and http://www.domain.de are sub-domains of http://domain.de.
You can define a forwarding target for your all domains. This target may be either a directory in your local web space or an external URL (example: http://google.com). The forwarding target, "
Example of correct targets:
• domain.de to / (default) - means to point to the html-directory ("
• shop.domain.de to /shop
• www.domain.de to http://domain.de - this works because www.domain.de and domain.de are not equal
Example of WRONG targets:
• domain.de to http://domain.de - because your domain can not redirect to itself (cause if redirect-loop).
• domain.de to /shop/index.html - because your domain need to point to a directory. /shop would be correct.
Example with multiple websites:
You can define different websites for each domain. To do this, you would have to setup a sub-directory from your FTP account for each domain. For this, please read 5.0 What is FTP and how do I use it?
After you have created a sub-directory, such as "
Notes and common mistakes:
• The html directory should not be used as part of the path for the forwarding target.
• If you wan to reach sub-domains with www. you should create another sub-domain, such as "www.sub.domain.de".
• Sub-domains do not distinguish between upper- and lowercase.
• Changes to the settings may require up to 30 minutes.

("/html/domain2_de" would be incorrect!). When retrieving Domain2, the content of the directory "/domain2_de" will now be displayed. Of course you need to store your index.html and other webseite files in this directory.Notes and common mistakes:
• The html directory should not be used as part of the path for the forwarding target.

No. A return (domain swap) is, unfortunately, not possible after registration, because the Registrars do not swap domains. You may however inexpensively register a new domain (from the Client Panel under "Upgrade Store" | "New Domains") and allow the "incorrect" domain to be deleted.
Umlaut domains use two formats: IDN and ACE. If you have an umlaut domain, you may use both formats (methods of writing). Both domains deliver the same content for browsers or email addresses. The ACE format is a technical notation, which enables the representation of domains without umlauts.
For example: IDN: domainüöä.de ⇔ ACE-String: xn--domain-gua7l3b.de
Denic (domain registrar for .de domains) has their own IDN conversion survey:
http://www.denic.de/de/domains/allgemeine-informationen/idn-konvertierung.html.
Unfortunately, Microsoft Internet Explorer versions prior to version 6.0 cannot recognize umlauts and, for this reason, automatically forward to a Microsoft page or display an error. For this reason, installing the newest version of Internet Explorer is recommended, as well as registering the domain without umlauts and setting up a forward for your visitors.
There is a patch for Internet Explorer, which only works for the browsers that have been patched: http://www.idnnow.com/index.jsp

There are various techniques for implementing a forward. You first store the file containing the forward to the desired FTP directory. After that, you may choose one of these variations:
• PHP forward: (in .php files)
• PHP forward: (in .php files)
<?php header("Location: http://www.targetdomain.de/xxx.php"); ?>
• HTML forward: (in .html files) the "5" indicates the numbers of second to wait before forwarding. <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="5; URL=http://example.com">• htaccess forward (in ".htaccess" files)
Redirect /directory http://www.targetdomain.de
So that you can send and receive emails using your domain, you need to setup an email account. Log into the Accountix Client Panel and select "Hosting Manager" | "Emails" | "Mailboxes". The user name and the password for the email account are automatically assigned and displayed during creation. Optionally, you may create a short description about your account. (such as "Private" or "Business"). After you have clicked the "Create" button, the email account will be created.
Before you can send or receive email, you need to setup an email address for your email account. For this, please read: 4.1 How do I setup an email address (for example, for Catch-All account or distribution lists)?
Notes and common mistakes:
• Authentication for the email retrieval must be activated in your email program.
• AOL has blocked the SMTP port 25. Please use port 587.
• You can change the email password from "Hosting Manager" | "Emails" | "Mailboxes" | "Edit".
•Changes to the settings may require up to 30 minutes.
When setting up Apple's Iphone with SMTP, please only set the mailserver and SMTP-default port (25). Please leave all other settings to "optional".

POP3-Port = 110
SMTP-Port = 25 (alternatively 587)
IMAP-Port = 143

Select "Hosting Manager" | "Emails" | "Mailaddress". If you have created an email account, you may create email address that forward to this account. You do not need to create an account for each address. If you would like to forward email to another email address (such as: "example@gmx.com"), you don't need an email account.
It is also possible to forward several email addresses to one account. This way, you can comfortably receive your email from various email addresses using your email program (such as, Outlook or via WebMail access) without having to manage multiple accounts.
Setting up a Catch-All account:
A Catch-All account enables sending all email through a domain in a single bundle and forwarding it to one email account or address. We recommend only forwarding a Catch-all account to one email account, because otherwise you might send a great deal of spam to another provider's account. Doing so can very quickly lead to your domain or IP address being listed in that provider's black list and temporarily preventing emails from arriving. You can create a Catch-All entry by using the "*" symbol as the name of the new email address, for example
Setting up a Distribution List:
You can create a distribution list by creating one email address multiple times, but assigning different recipients. The effect of doing this is that when a message is sent to the single email address, it will be transmitted to all of the recipients. A maximum of 35 identical email addresses may be assigned to a distribution list.

WebMail can be accessed from the Client Panel from "Links" | "Webmail". Before you can access WebMail, you must have already setup an email account and an email address. The user name for this is the name of the email account, such as web12345p1 and the associated password.
To understand the difference between POP3 and IMAP, you should understand that all email messages are first stored on a server before they are retrieved by an email program (such as Outlook).
The difference is precisely this, that POP3 (Post Office Protocol) deletes the message from the server as soon as they have been retrieved. In contrast, IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) leaves a copy of the message on the server (a kind of backup).

The maximum size of file attachments is 30 MB.
If you need to send larger files, you should use your FTP access and transmit the download link to your recipient. This alternative using FTP access is quicker for larger file attachments, and the recipient can also restart the download, in the event that an error occurs.

You can use the spam filter as soon as you have created an email account in the Client Panel from "Hosting Manager" | "Email" | "Mailboxes". Click the black icon
in the column "Spam Filter".
• Score Level (Default Value = 5): This is a numeric value between 1 and 15. It indicates how strictly the email messages should be filtered. Higher values mean that more characteristics are checked for categorizing a given message as spam. This results in less spam being detected. The number of erroneously detected (false positive) email messages is reduced.
Lower values mean that fewer characteristic matches are sufficient to recognize a message as spam. The number of erroneously detected (false positive) email messages does however increase.
• Rewrite Header (Default Value = *****SPAM*****): If a message is recognized as spam, the subject line is re-written.
• Black List: Messages from these email addresses are not transmitted, or are ignored.
• White List: Messages from these email addresses are always transmitted, even if they are recognized as spam.
• The white and black lists must be written as vertical lists, with one email address below the previous one, no spaces or commas.
• Mail Drop: With an active mail drop, all spam messages are moved to the "Spam" folder for your email account.
• Changes to the settings may require up to 30 minutes.

This error appears when you have not been authenticated by an email transmission server. It is a security measure for reducing misuse. We use the POP-before-SMTP procedure, which means that you need to log in first when accessing email (for example, retrieving mail) before you can send messages. FTP Access
FTP (File Transfer Protocol) provides the ability to transfer files to the web space. You may install an FTP program or use WebFTP from the Client Panel. We recommend the freeware FTP program FileZilla http://filezilla.de/ or WinSCP http://winscp.net.
Download the Filezilla program and install it. Start Filezilla. Now, enter your access information in the entries (you will have to adjust the entries correspondingly):
Important! Upload your website files to the html directory (also .php files). Please read: 5.4 What do the FTP directories mean? Now, select the desired file (or multiple files) and drag it (them) into the directory with the mouse. Afterwards, you will be able to retrieve these files through your domain.
You can also download data from the FTP space as well. If you right-click on a file or create a directory, you will find a number of useful features. From "Dateiberechtigungen", you can control the rights to access the files (also called "chmod"). In general, the file rights are set correctly automatically after the upload. However, sometimes they need to be set manually.
Important file rights:
• Directories:
• Executable files (php files) never: use rwxr-xr-x (755) instead
• The HTML directory (default):
Important additional information: 6.2 Why won't my page or homepage display?
Important note:
If you use editors with integrated upload function like Adobe Dreamweaver or MS Frontpage your remote-directory is "/html"
Download the Filezilla program and install it. Start Filezilla. Now, enter your access information in the entries (you will have to adjust the entries correspondingly):
Server = mydomain.deAnd finally, click "Verbinden". After you have made the connection to the server, you should see several FTP directories. In the event that the connection does not work, please re-check your access information. It is also possible that your firewall is blocking the connection.

Please note that you already have a primary FTP user. The primary FTP user is your Accountix user. This documentation describes how to create additional FTP users. If you are using a web hosting package, which is able to support multiple FTP users, you should see the menu option "FTP Benutzer" in the Client Panel under "Hosting Manager".
The FTP user names that you now create always use the format
Notes and common mistakes:
• The target directory must already exist. Otherwise, login will not work.
• Additional FTP users have no limitations on their rights. Accordingly, they may access, modify and delete all files and sub-directories in or under their target directory.
• You may change the FTP password for additional users from "Hosting Manager" | "FTP User" | "Edit".
• Changes to the settings may require up to 30 minutes.
The FTP user names that you now create always use the format
web123f1 (where f1 stands for the first additional FTP user). As an additional FTP user, you would only be able to access the sub-directories under the html directory. Therefore, if you define "/" as the target directory, the html directory will be used by it as the target. Notes and common mistakes:
• The target directory must already exist. Otherwise, login will not work.
• Additional FTP users have no limitations on their rights. Accordingly, they may access, modify and delete all files and sub-directories in or under their target directory.

WebFTP is the alternative to an FTP program. From the Accountix Client Panel, you can access it under "Links" | "Web FTP". Login uses your standard FTP access information. Now, click on the html directory, where you will be able to upload your files one at a time.
Some FTP programs have difficulty deleting hidden files (.htaccess or .htpassword files), when such are stored in your directory. You can activate the display of hidden files in the FTP program at http://filezilla.de/, and then delete the directory. A check must appear in Filezilla next to the menu option "Server" | "Auflistung versteckter Dateien erzwingen". After enabling listing hidden files, please change to each "empty" directory to remove the hidden files first. Important! Refresh directory list with F5 or restart your FTP-session.
/html | Directory for your web pages, such as .html, .php, .gif, .jpg and .pdf files. The files in this directory can be reached from your web page. However, when retrieving your domain, the html directory does not form a part of the domain path. |
/phptmp | Directory for temporary files, such as sessions or caches for php scripts. |
/files | Directory for files that may only be reached by FTP. |
/log | Directory log files. Every time your web site is accessed, it is logged. The statistics in the Client Panel are also generated from these files. |
/backup | Directory for backups, which you can create in the Client Panel. You only have read access to this directory. |

.htaccess File
An ".htaccess" file provides the ability to define settings for the web server. Windows will display an error upon the creation of an ".htaccess" file: "
The .htaccess file must be saved using ANSI character encoding (default) and have been uploaded to the web server in ASCII mode. Most FTP clients have options for setting the transfer mode (ASCII or binary). Under Windows, you may use the WordPad program.

The .htaccess file must be saved using ANSI character encoding (default) and have been uploaded to the web server in ASCII mode. Most FTP clients have options for setting the transfer mode (ASCII or binary). Under Windows, you may use the WordPad program.
You can use the features in the Client Panel under "Webmaster Tools" | "Password Protection" for setting up directory protection. The contents of the files, .htaccess and .htpasswd, are created there. The file, .htpasswd, contains all of the users and their encrypted passwords. The .htaccess file contains the names of the protected directories and the absolute path to the .htpasswd file.

General Notes:
You can start installation under "Webmaster Tools" | "Software Center" from the Client Panel. The web application selected from the Software Center is installed to your web hosting account and pre-configured. The entry for the "Domain" is only required for later execution of the installation wizards1. (using another domain with the same target directory will work in the same way). The Directory entry indicates the directory to which the software should be installed. The directory is always a sub-directory of /html. We recommend using the default entry. The directory should be empty, if it exists already.
After you have started installation from the Software Center, you will create a database from "Hosting Manager" | "Databases". Make a note of the access information. It will be requested later by the installation wizards.
1 An installation wizard is the installation procedure. See the screen shots with the software documentation.
Make the software the homepage:
The following describes two options for setting up a program as the home page.
a) Forwarding:
You may create a forward in the html directory to the sub-directory, where the software is located (e.g. /html/joomla). When retrieving your domain, www.domain.de will be transferred to www.domain.de/joomla without delay. You can find out how to create a forward under: 3.4 How do I setup a forward?
b) Target directory (Docroot):
From "Hosting Manager" | "Domains", you can reset the target directory for your domain from "/" to "/joomla", for example, when you have indicated "joomla" as the installation directory in the Software Center. By doing this, you produce the effect that the www.domain.de domain is supplied from the content of the /joomla directory ("/joomla" does not need to be added to the URL).
Uninstalling Software:
The uninstall process is done manuelly.
• Use your FTP program to delete the FTP directory to which the program was installed, including all contents.
• Use "Hosting Manager" | "Databases" to delete the database used by the software.
Software Version Updates:
Periodic updates close security holes and must be executed by means of an FTP program. Please make a complete backup prior to each update (for example, from the Client Panel under "Webmaster Tools" » "Backup & Restore"). Download the update package from the manufacturer or developer. You will find appropriate links with the screen shot documentation. Subsequently, unpack the data and transfer it by means of an FTP program to the directory, where the installed software is located. During the upload, the old files will be replaced by the new ones. This completes the update.
